Second Custom. I completed him in January and did not have the guts to post. However, I saw someone did a similar job (though their's is far superior to mine) and decided to post. This time I wanted to see what it took to pull figures apart and do some minor adjustments. Ran into a problem. I could not use the boots I had hoped to put on (Marvel Legends Angel boots). I am hoping to learn how to sculp and redo the boots and his tuning fork :) later.

Tuning fork was made with superflex. Saw one picture where they have a few little markings on the forhead piece. Failed at that. :)

Really hoping to see some more real old school marvel legends.

LOOKS SWEET TO ME! LOOKS EXACTLY HOW I WOULD'VE PROBABLY DID IT. ACTUALLY LOOKS A LOT BETTER THAN SOME OF MY FIRST FEW CUSTOMS. YOU WILL GET BETTER AS YOU KEEP UP THE TRIAL AND ERROR.

try dry brushing it, you shouldnt get a lot of bleeding. I personally havent tried it, but it makes sense I guess. I'm gonna try it and see how it goes

Nope that's exactly what I was wondering. I tried using that stuff too but had too much seepage as well.
I just got some stuff that you can brush on and then use an exacto knife to cut the design after it dries but I haven't tried it yet.

I hope I am understanding you correctly. I used some "blue painters" tape. I painted the chest/torso with a blue that I made from mixing white and some blue paint. I measured, cut out and layed the tape out carefully on the figure. Then I painted over. It seaped through a bit and a friend of mine (member of this board already Quantum7) told me to free-hand to fix the straight line.
If I am misunderstanding what masking is let me know the right term for what I did Thanks

What kind of masking material did you use?

Thank you. Masking. Still working on painting straight lines Found it to be difficult because of the structure of the torso/body.
