The ANBU are an elite group of ninja from the Naruto world, kinda like the CIA. They deal in high ranking missions such as assassinations and protecting high ranking individuals. They're faces are always covered with a mask while on duty and they gain codenames for missions and day-to-day life. They exist to follow orders and nothing more. They exist and at the same time they don't.

This was a side project I took up while working on a few other customs. While browsing the FR shop I came across the bootleg Spiderman figures for $2 and figured I would get one and see what I could do with him. Luckily, whoever made it produced a really simple figure so all I had to do was sculpt and paint, no dremeling or whatnot.

The mask, hair, vest, arm guards, glove protector and the tops of the boots are all hand sculpted, none of it was really hard. The masks color design was just an idea off the top of my head that made it on to the figure. I reused the same idea for the haircut I had used on another figure and out it came onto this guy. Then I painted it a dirty brown color since I wanted a different color then black. The vest and protectors are painted a light grey with the zipper part being a light touch of flat black to make it stand out. His shoulder length gloves are also flat black and the small section of shoulder showing above them was painted with flesh paint. The tattoo on his left shoulder then went on using flat black and a toothpick. 95% of his leg color is flat black except for the bandage type areas above the boots. Instead of sculpting bandages I just made lines with some gloss black paint, which I think turned out better then actual sculpted bandages.

Not a difficult custom but im happy with how it came out. Those bootleg Spideys may be crappy as normal figures but they make some pretty good fodder.
