A secret, playable character in Climax Entertainment's 1992 Shining Force: The Legacy of Great Intention Sega Genesis tactical roleplaying video game [said title was later made available on the Sega Dreamcast, Personal Computer, Sony Playstation 3, Microsoft Xbox 360, and Nintendo Wii (as a selection on various Sega compilations or as downloadable content); it was also completely remade for the Nintendo Gameboy Advance in 2004, bearing the new moniker Shining Force: Resurrection of The Dark Dragon]. Exactly what manner of organism Domingo represents is the subject of some debate (the game's "magic creature" classification is rather vague). An intelligent, floating, air-breathing cnidarian or cephalopod of some sort? The world may never know . . .

To obtain Domingo, find the Domingo Egg in the mage town of Manarina in Chapter II (it's inside a weird-looking robot/armor thing in the laboratory), and then, in Chapter IV, after the battle with General Elliot, give it to the egg incubating fellow at the item shop in the traveling town of Pao. If you did everything correctly, Domingo will hatch and join the Shining Force.

Provided you put the time and effort into leveling the creature up, Domingo's capabilities, which include flight (the tentacled one simply floats over, and thus avoids, any terrain effect penalties on movement in the battlefield), magic [the fuzzy mage can learn freezing ice (up to Level 4 in power), confusion, instant death, and physical attack-boosting spells], and impressive stats, make it one of the most powerful/versatile characters in the entire game.
