Darth Vader (Star Wars) Custom Action Figure
Custom #:24687
Name:Darth Vader
Custom Type:Action Figure
Toy Series:Star Wars
Creator:Madtinker76
Date Added:October 3, 2010
Base Figure:DCUC Superman & DCUC Steel
Height:6.50 inches
This is one that I dug out from the pits of my fodder bin. I had started Vader well before my first post here. So I reclaimed his head and light saber, and parts for his belt from the dark side of the fodder bin.
Here is Darth Vader.
Head, lightsaber, breathing box, and parts for the belt: Star Wars Force Battlers Dart Vader
upper torso: DCUC Superman
Lower torso, belt, and legs: DCUC Steel
Boots: ML Wonderman
Gloves: MOTU Staction Snout Spout. With articulated wrist for super posing.
Loin clothe and Cape: LCBH Wraal
Shoulder Armor: DCUC Ares.
Some Foamie sheet for the armor on the chest area and shin guards.
Lots of epoxy.
I know Vader never had a ripped cape or robes but, I thought this made him look more menacing and like he enjoys getting into the battle.
Thanks for looking &
comments and feedback welcome.

That is too cool! Why don't they keep all figures in 6" scale, I would pick up a lot of hte STar Wars figures although I don't follow it.

WOW! That is one P.O.ed looking Vader!! I agrees that this is how Darth Vader should look and how I would picture him in his prime. Great job!!

thanks for all the feedback! I am pretty happy with the way he turned out. He was a little harder than I had originally thought. Especially trying to keep and add some articulation. I really like the thought of Vader being a bit more flexible than he was portrayed in the movies. I am considering doing another one based more on his comic book appearances. They had a slightly different design from the movies.

You are really on a roll with your Star wars customs. Great choice for the head. I never would of thought to use the Force battlers for the head but he looks pissed.

actually you make a lot of sense Darth Vader doesn't need to look regal and clean he needs to look menacing or warrior like.
anyway Vader looks awesome and badness and the parts match him well but I think that you need to add some more stripes and that's all.
awesome Vader.

WOW DUDE!!! This is so awesome, I'm so glad you finished this guy! I love the wrarrl cape/skirting(is that even right?!) like he's been in battle! I had a black manta I wanted to do this with, but just can't afford a force unleashed vader any time soon.
