In Japanese folklore it was believed that it was the spirits in the mountain,the Yamabiko(やまびこ)who echoes their voice when they shout at the sides of the mountains.In Japan this Yokai's name has come to mean echo.
Here's my Yamabiko action figure.I sculpted his head from clay over a Castaway super hero head.For the body I used a CTVT torso,arms(I gave them Doc Mego hands),and right leg.I sculpted his sandal from clay(it is removable).I carved his walking stick from a wooden chopstick(I painted with water thinned acrylic paint).I made his grass robe and hood from twine rope(my wife finished the hood part).My wife Tomoko sewed his blue kimono.
