Random (Marvel Legends) Custom Action Figure
Custom #:2883
Name:Random
Custom Type:Action Figure
Toy Series:Marvel Legends
Creator:Wings
Date Added:June 10, 2007
Base Figure:XMC Sabretooth
Height:7.00 inches
I'd kinda sidelined my X-Factor collection after the ambitious Wolfsbane but after re-reading fatal attractions I wanted to do this fella. I used the Sabes base and completly resprayed it. I removed the claws from his head and swapped the head for a SOTA Guile (the shouting one). After dremelling away all of the hair, I resculpted his bandana and glasses and used a flat twistie tie for the tie, giving it the ability to pose it any way. The arm gun are three pieces of the FF4 Movie Mr Fantastic that had the clip on body parts glued and sculpted together. They look fluid like the comics while also being straight and 'pre-holed'. I had tried making the gun 100% Apoxie but it kept curing at an angle and was too heavy to pose. Full paint with citdels and there you have. He's one of my favourites and looks awesome squaring off to Guido :p

In addition to straight up LOOKING AWESOME!!!! Great use of the spare legs, and spare Guile head.
Ideas that use up junk bits from the foder box are always appreciated.
Many well earned props to you.
I will offer the constructive criticism, that a bead of sculpt between the Reed Richards bits would add to the effect of the gun arm.
Random is such a kick @$$ character and this is a kick @$$ fig.

Cheers peeps. I was just happy to finally be able to use them up - I've used a few of that Mr Fantastic figure in my customs so I've got a load of legs, arms, torso's and necks I can see me using them up on a Morph in the future.

Great job! I would shade the boots though, maybe wash them with black or paint them dark brown then with a lighter-brown dry-brushing. He looks like he's straight out of the cartoon though.
Sabretooth seems great for bulky big guys while Bizarro is good for chiseled big guys.

Forgot to mention sorry guys;
Kneepads are sculpy and the jacket is the one that came with the Ultimate Sabretooth but shortened and repainted
