Hello FigureRealm! Long time browser, first time submitter! yay me. So they say when you start something new, put your best foot forward... (get it? Foot? Like Foot Clan...) So here is my favorite figure i've finished so far. Donatello of the TMNT Not really modeled from any licensed TMNT medium, my Donnie is set post 2003 series. He features a dark green, almost brown skin tone reminiscent of the '89 toy line by Playmates. He's heavily equipped with trusty Bo Staff, Utility belt(s), Shell Cell (or Turtlecom), a redesigned forearm computer(from Fast Forward) and Chameleon Goggles - complete with cordless communicator and infrared mode: useful when battling Foot Tech ninjas(oh boy i'm a huge nerd) Recipe: base: ML Union Jack head, hands, toes, shell(front & back), belt from 2003 Donatello belt pouches and goggles made from obscure fodder pieces additional muscles & elbow/knee pads: Aves Fixit Sculpt Comments, crits welcome! pulpy fiction, Donnie's not my first custom ever... more like my fourth started and first finished enough to be posted. I have a hard time working in a linear fashion. I can't help but start new projects while others are drying or curing. So I have about a dozen figures in different stages of completion at any given time. But to answer your question... yes, I have all the turtles in the works along with a whole cast of TMNT related characters and a spattering of other, equally nerdy genres.
You have a solid series of skills. The paints look good, and I like that you went with that classic darker olive grteen for Donetello. I also think the body shape and proportion are great, alongside with the sculpt work it creates a very stylized look that works really well for your Turtle. I wanted to ask if you are going to do more of them, and if so, are you going to do the whole group of turtles in the same fashion?
Keep up the great work!
