I'm glad you liked the cracked glass trick. Here's another one for you to try that will go nicely with what you do here. I was going to do a tutorial on this but at the rate I'm going it's never going to happen. Take some 5 minute epoxy, the stuff that comes int he syringe with part a on one side and part b on the other of the syringe. Squirt a little out in a disposable mixing tray and add either black acrylic paint, or black ink or black leather dye. Mix it up, let it set for about 1 minute, should be getting kind of thick but still workable, then apply it to areas you have the oil leaking - use a toothpick or something. Gravity will work some and the stuff will ooze down. When it cures, it will still look fresh, but it will be rock hard. It will also look glossy and "wet" and of course, it will give you 3D oil for your oil leaks etc. If you don't want to make burnt oil, just use a nice wood stain or really light leather dye (both are translucent colors) and you'll get that honey brown color that fresh oil is. If you want burnt oil to look really rough, open (carefully) an etch-a-sketch and take out some of the aluminum powder (or just buy some on a website) and mix a VERY small amount in with your black oil and it will have a metal flake mixed in with the jet black oil - like burnt oil gets when it has metal shavings in it.
This trick also works for Blood. Just remember to mix a bit of blue in with your red when you are making "fresh" blood. additionally, if you have an area you want blood/oil dripping down but it doesn't have anything supporting it - I.e. blood drip hanging down in mid-air almost. Get a thread that's close to the same color you are making the epoxy, then glue the thread where you want the long drip to be. now you can apply your greymonk's secret recipe blood/oil there and it will run down the thread - when it cures, it will be solid but will still look wet like it's in the process of running out of an arm wound or something. This trick is also great for coating weapons with, if you use a translucent red & blue for the blood (like red & blue leather dyes) you will see the metallic part of the sword under the blood and the epoxy will pull away form the metallic paint just like blood does in real life. I'll try to post a pic of what I am talking about but I am no photographer! At any rate Trans, have fun with the oil trick, you'll be able to make nice 3D oil for those cool wounds on your Transformers and if you master it like you did the cracked glass you'll be untouchable in the battledamaged Transformers area!!

AWESOME lookin' custom. The broken glass is a great touch, the streaks where the paint was stripped looks very realistic, and OP looks like he's seen better days. When you take chunks out of the transformers, do you use a dremel or do you burn the marks in? KEEP EM COMIN!
