on his battle with sensui, yusuke got possessed by his father raizen. his hair grew longer and some markings on his body appeared, (he then looked somewhat like his father) he then gained a power comparable to a class S monster. sadly, his father was controlling his body so when he came back to his senses, sensui was already beat down and yusuke can't remember anything. base figure: ML ironfist body LCBH savage dragon legs i was too lazy to sculpt his hair so he's been sitting on the fodder box for almost a year... i've reworked iron fist's shoulder joints and hands, removed the collar and sculpted over it. sculpted torn trimmings on savage dragon's pants and replaced the shoes with anne o brian's... attaching o brian's shoes to savage dragons leg was a pain in the @$% as the joint and peg don't match and it's too hard to trim down even with a rotary tool. the hair was completely sculpted with all purpose epoxy. i based his look on an old poster i had on my room when i was still in high school. he had pure black hair on the poster and he doesn't have a torn shirt and a duffel bag. i just added those little details so that he won't look too plain. hmmm.. ok, i might paint his hair again and make it pure black. the tree stump that he's sitting on was from a tarzan happy meal tree. i cut off the upper part of the tree and sculpted the stump. i then re-painted the whole base. i've also made a backdrop for him using a cintra board and an image i got from the internet. well, he's one of those characters that i really want to have an action figure of and now here he is. i'm just glad that i can put him in my shelf together with my other custom yu yu hakusho figs. thanks for looking guys! have a nice day! :)  |

thanks for the comment man! I didn't win the contest but I was so happy that people recognized my works and a lot of them liked it. it was a big accomplishment on my part. of course I wanted the trophy, but! cheesy as it may sound, the praises and the smiles that I saw on their faces when they were taking pictures was enough for me to say "mission accomplished" . I was really happy.
@shiky800 -hey! yu yu hakusho's also my favorite anime! glad to see someone that's into the series just like me. I'll be making other yu yu hakusho customs in the future. thanks!

@roccothegreat -hey, thanks! I wanted to include a reference pic of the character but I can only include that much pics. well, he's not really an accurate representation as I've changed and added some details. glad you liked it sir.
@pock63 -the hair is a pain to make, I've wanted to use those dragonball-Z character's hair (SS3 gokou) but those big figures are just so expensive, so I just opted to sculpt the hair. thanks man!

@judgemathis -I've used an anime gashapon head of another anime character (saint seiya). it's those small figures that're made of hard rubber/plastic? I'm not sure. I've just cut it up and retooled it so that it would fit an ML neck peg.
@dbocustoms -using an ironfist body wasn't really a smart choice as there were a lot of things that should be fixed to make it look like an ordinary looking body. (removing the collar, filling the gap it left on the chest, fixing the shoulder and making it narrower, sanding down the musculature so he won't look too buff and ripped) a moon knight or any other plain looking body would be perfect. it's just that I only have an iron fist when I was working on this character and I was too stingy to buy some other base figures. hehe!
the shadings on the skin tone don't show up that much on the pics though.
