This is not so much a custom figure.. nor is it a NEW custom packaging. I did this back in '09 when I was SURE that DCU was closing in on the Super Powers line as a basis to build its future waves on. This is a "Hemi-Cylindrical" (rounded front with flat back) package which is a nice tight presentation that doesn't take up too much shelf space… really about as much as the figure does. It is VERY much based in the Super Powers design motif with bright Primary colors and logo presented along with a 25th Anniversary seal up top. I'm surprised that Mattel hasn't more blatantly gone for the SP prize and made kids out of all of us grown folks but here's wishing… (Crossing fingers til the 2014?)

The figure is a Light Blue Superman made famous by its sparing appearance on the Entity Beknownst As the Yada for its mysterious non-origins in the DCU canon. I managed to get a hold of three of these guys before they disappeared forever. I figured it was a fitting placeholder for this package. Coincidentally this is my 81st figure to post here and I'm dern proud of it… It's kinda cool in a Schizological way since its my 81st figure and I was born in '81… It doesn't have to make sense… what's important about this figure/package to me is I Remember and no doubt still have my first Super Powers Superman figure somewhere in this house but I have bout a couple more archival quality once since those good old days for posterity sake.

I'm working hard to get to my 100th figure…. though I may dig deep in the ole archives of yesteryear or yonderyear depending on what I find…

Thanks guys!!!

Nice packaging work. Perhaps you've covered this else where (or it's not clear in your posting) - but where did you source out the plastic cylinders?
