Well here he is folks, this project I was working on for a friend. I have to say this was quite a challenge, not only is the Banshee figure a pain to work with, what having to chop off the neck shave it down, reposition it (at ANY angle better than that horrid 60 degrees perpendicular to the body!) build up the shoulders, and add some boot tucks.

Painting the Swastika was difficult too because the first time I did not have the source photo with me and I got the colors reversed (white circle with Black Swastika) so I had to re-do it. I am proud to report however that I can't just whip off a perfect swastika from memory. :)

The source photo I decided to go with had his jumpsuit with traditional sleeves rather than any sort of tapering or fancy gloves. So I sculpted the sleeves with Apoxie, using tin foil as a barrier to keep them swivel-able.

The head is from Black Arachnis and took quite a bit of rigging to get it to fit on those impossible Hasbro neck posts. All in all, it was a rewarding project and it now marks my second villain mod. I'm not much of a fan of Redskull myself and hope that did not show in my work. I also hope the new photography techniques I'm trying helped me get clearer pics so you can see the drybrushing and sculpt detail.

All I need now are some weapons for him and he's all set to go.

Thank you buddy, based on what I've seen of your work I have no doubt it will turn out great! Sad thing about this Redskull is that there's nothing particularly impressive about the green jumpsuit. It's kind of plain and rather boring compared to the Panzer outfits and the SS uniform etc. but my friend - no doubt because the toy companies wouldn't waste time and money on the plain green uniform - wanted one really bad done this way so I tried to get it. I haven't heard anything back from him though since I delivered it - I honestly have no idea what he thinks about it. I had to drop it off when he wasn't around so I missed the "unveiling". (fingers crossed ) I can't wait to see yours!!!

Thanks Dedi but I've actually already delivered the piece. IN fact, I am rather hoping the fellow like it, I couldn't stick around, he wasn't due to come in until later. Just as well, I don't do well in person when it comes to delivering stuff. a website and mail are so much easier!

You did the banshee mold justice, I didn't even know what base you used until I read it.. great job!! He would look great with a sleek black gun and a detonator bomb.

I'm not a huge Skull fan myself but this looks much more what I recall from the comics than the blue armour that was released. I'd be chuffed if my mate made one this good for me so Kudos!

Simple, yet very eloquent. You've managed to capture what makes the Red Skull a great villain. You can almost feel the palpable evil emanating from that figure. Great job, my friend.

Cowboy, from what I've seen of your work my friend, you are in no need of stressing! However, it's that stress that makes us strive for perfection I guess...only guessing cause I ain't close to it yet but I can strive away!

I know the feeling I'm working on a modern Havok for my bro and I'm stessed about it

Thanks so much fellas, I was really stressing this one cause it's going to a friend, who runs a comic shop and I was really nervous about getting it right. Man I think it's less stressful to make something you're going to sell, since when you sell it, if it doesn't sell you know no one was interested, but a gift, the person feels somewhat obligated to say thank you even if you didn't do a good job. (am I making sense?) it's late, bed time for the monk! Thanks again fellas and thanks to the powers that be for getting this up so fast!!
