Hey guys, this is the second figure in our Steampunk X-Men set, Angel. I'm a big fan of the feather winged angel, so I wanted to stick with the original version of Warren Worthington III. He started as a Doc Sampson from Marvel Legends Hulk. I had to crack his torso to pop out his legs and replace with ML Mr. Sinister's. The kneepads on the figure are hip pads from a batman the animated series Mr. Freeze. The hoses going to the hip are from an Anti-Mr. Freeze batman. Clockwork gears are from actual watches. The jacket and arm sleeves are from a ML Wolverine Legendary Riders. The wrists had to be ground down to fit gloves hands from a Japanese Guyver figure. The shoulder pad and straps are from a MU 3.75" WWHulk. Other mechanical pieces are from G.I. Joe scrap. The arm piston does bend and straighten with the arm, it has a working joint. The wings were from a ML Angel. I sawed off the wing mechanism from the original figure and used apoxy to mount it to the Sampson figure. 40 coats of paint later the wings were popped onto the studs. The Wings are moveable / poseable / removable. It didn't take as long as it sounds, but thought it turned out decent. Let me know what you think. ![]() |
