This one is Dworn the Super-Weakling from Space, an alien youth who appeared in Superboy Vol. I #65 (June, 1958) and possessed the ability to turn objects into gold but is weaker than normal humans. In the story, he befriends Superboy who aids him by establishing a human guise for him as a boy named Alan. Unfortunately, a criminal discovers Dworn's "Midas" power and has his men capture him. They force Dworn to provide them with an unlimited supply of gold. Superboy attempts to rescue his friend, but the criminal keeps Superboy at bay with a piece of Kryptonite. Surprisingly, the radioactive mineral has an unexpected effect on Dworn, and actually gives him additional super-powers, which he uses to aid Superboy in defeating the crooks. Dworn soon after leaves Earth forever.

It was a pretty straight-forward, easy custom to do. First, I removed the head, arms, legs, and hands from the Silver Age Superboy figure. Next, I used my Dremel to sand off the cape and belt. Using Milliput, I then formed the new boot tops, belt, and collar. The belt was created in three stages...first, I created the inner layer with Milliput, which was sanded smooth once dry...next, I glued on a square craft bead as a buckle...finally, I used two thin strips of Milliput to create the ridges of the belt, which were then trimmed and sanded once dry. Next, I took the Colossal Boy head and used my Dremel
to excavate out a new hole in the head and also remove the small portion of neck from it so that the head and the Superboy figure's neck could fit together nicely and neatly. I next added a bit of Milliput to the neck to build it up slightly and enable it to fit properly. As soon as the Milliput had dried, I sanded it smooth, and used my Dremel to remove the ball portion of the Superboy's neck peg, leaving a cyllindrical post. I then jammed a glob of Milliput into the newly excavated head cavity and then pushed the cyllindrical neck post in it to create a new peg hole. Once the Milliput had dried, I repainted the neck and head. While that dried, I used some of my Tamiya Putty White to fill in the grooves of the Superboy symbol on the chest, and then sanded it smooth once the putty had dried. Next, I commenced a full repaint of the costume and then reattached the arms, legs, and hands. With the body now fully assembled and all paint dry, I glued the head onto the neck. Lastly, I glued two strips of paper that had been colored black onto the boots to recreate the boot stripes, and TA-DA...Dworn the Super-Weakling from Space!!!!

Please let me know what you guys think of him, and as always, comments are appreciated.
