Hi All Instead of buying 1/6 busts that are out there I decided to start making my own and first up is Ben Kenobi LMK what you think. RECIPE Body & hands - sideshow which has been cut of at the waist. The hands have been stripped with nail remover and then repainted using Vallejo and Reaper paints. Head - Is from the old Hasbro figure which has been stripped with nail remover and then repainted using Vallejo and Reaper paints. Clothing & belt - the clothing is from the Saber training Kenobi which has beenboiled and washed to get a better fit and the belt is leather cut to size, the buckle is the rubber one you get with the figure I cust it off and glued it inplace. The saber holder is some leather with a hook attached underneath and the studs are pieces of plasti-card. Sabers - Both sabers are old Hsbro sabers I just cut of the loops and added studs and O-rings to the ends they both were then repainted. Base - the base is from a 1/16 military model kit. Ron ![]() |

rpetras - Cheers mate I'm glad you like it.
deadeyesamurai - Thanks as always for your feedback buddy always a pleasure, I'll be more then happy to hook up we could do some great work, your scuplting and my painting we would kill it.
And I know what you mean about space I had to sell 70% of my custom when I did my move, the place I have is still large but not like the old house and the MINISTER FOR WAR AND FIANANCE won't let me have half of the double garage she's to scared of what I might make in there . And I'm updating my site so I'll add you to thel links section this weekend.
Greymonk - Thanks mate for the kind words.
marvelzombie26 - Appreciate the feeback thanks heaps.
evanjones1 - Cheers mate.
fastfreddie - Thanks heaps for the comments always appreciated, and I must admit when I was making this figure that comment kept popping into my head it drove me nuts.

Keep up the good work!
Really quality work - I'm really diggging the use of materials and especially your paintwork on this
Something I'm particularly weak at...
We have to hook up sometime as although my paintwork is basic - mysculpting isnt and I make my own starwars figures and used to make them lifesize too (check Other Custom creations section - Deadeye KnightM.A.R.E.S.)
All I have left is a lifesize Darth Maul head I'm making into a Bust to usins as a novelty coat hanger
My place is so tiny now - and my wife on the warpath at the figures/room for kids stuff ratio
that I've had to sell a lot of the bigstuff off over the years and downscale into making 12" and 6" figures - and theres barely more room for the 6" stuff now...
And although I sell customs quite regularly - theres more incoming figures than outgoing figures...
Feel free to add me to any IMs you have - I'll do the same
Once again awesome work mate - I'm in awe of your customising talent

Just kidding, this is excellent work, especially the paint. Very original idea doing busts.
