Sup realm-onados? This is a bit out there maybe for the Superman purists. I call this my Edna Mode suited Superman. "No capes!" I am only planning on having one DCUC-style body for the DC heroes on my shelf since they're so similar. I had to give the honor to the man of steel. But I've never been a huge fan of his suit. Now some artists draw him and that cape so well it totally works in the comics. Superman: For Tomorrow comes to mind. As a figure though, no way Jose. So I just played with the colors a bit and this is what he said he wanted to wear. So you can pretend it's some alternate universe Superman or his long lost brother if he's not classic enough. Or maybe he discovered some even more ridiculously awesome power within himself to take on the baddest enemies we haven't even imagined and thus felt the need to update his suit! :-) I just couldn't have the red underoos on the shelf. Head is from Gotham pack Superman. It was way fun of course to just kind of play and create the look, kind of melding the Blue and Classic aspects. Thanks for looking and as always feel free to comment, and keep on building!

I love this, and I know Kal-El would as well. It's the latest trend on Krypton!

Cape or not I like this custom, and like everybody else, I think the symbol on the back is quite eye catching. Nice superman with your own thumbprint on it!

I wanted to comment on this last night, but got tangled up in my cape and my evil arch nemesis sent me to a parallel dimension. It took me till this morning to escape, but finally I can say, simply beautiful custom. Love the scheme and the S symbols are spot on excellence. keep up the amazing work, while I try to untangle my cape.

I have to disagree with Miss Mode. I like capes, they add a certain flair of the dramatic. But a cape is not always necessary, even for Supes who with Bats personify the usage of capes. After all if this custom had a cape it would cover that awesome symbol. Cape or no cape this is an AWESOME Supes custom.

I think the edna reasoning doesn´t apply to superman.mm..even though I don´t like spandex too much, I hate underwear showing outside the pants, and I´m not a cape lover, with the exception of bats and a few others, I do like superman´s classic look. I think it is now inside the collective subconscious. Anyway, I am disvarying here. Nice work, specially on the back symbol sculpt!

I am a cape fan, that being said I like what you have here. It has a kind of special ops feel to it.

I have seen several versions of Superman that had no cape in the past and I really love the color scheme you came up with. It's similar to the hooded Superwoman colors. The S on the back is really good too!

Gee lets talk supes and capes. Hmmm lets see solar suit no cape, kryptonian suit no cape, electric superman red and blue which this heavily resembles no cape small-ville no cape. mother-box defense no cape unless you count bandages as cape. SO I say great job.

I do dig this! The S looks sharp and this is an awesome aspect of customizing. Creativity, instead of just 3Difying (yes it is a word...as of right now) a picture. While my Supes would probably have the cape, artistic interpretation adds to the fun. Besides, there is no arguement about the paint work here, it's Good stuff... OJJ

I really don't understand your reasoning. What is this supposed to be? Superman needs a cape.

lol I'm going to have to disagree with you there. Have you seen Edna Mode discuss capes in The Incredibles? That's my reasoning. My ideal Superman is capeless. But I totally respect and appreciate everyone's thoughts on the subject. I just don't like 'em. But cape lovers are absolutely more than welcome to disagree. Cheers.

I think his reasoning is that he wanted a Superman figure without a cape. Nice work, especially on the S symbols!
