Bliss first appeared in Uncanny X-Men #261 (May 1990) and was a loyal follower of Masque, helping him wrest control of the Morlocks from Callisto. Bliss can extend a secondary head atop her tongue which carries a venomous bite. As part of a plot against the X-Men Masque used his powers to make Bliss resemble Jean Grey.
