Ronin Lion-O. The lone swordsman that wanders the land battling minions, in search of revenge against Lord Mum-Ra for the murder of his father.
That's enough back story, I think. This guy began life as a wire armature and was then completely sculpted using sculpey and aves. Savage Dragon head cast, Bishop left hand and Dollar store ninja right hand were the only pieces added to round out this figure. Thought it would be fitting if the Sword of Omens was a Katana.
I Love this. Again, your ambition with the level of original sculpting is awesome, and very well done! The anatomy is great and the concept is very, very cool. You, my friend, are an excellent artist and you have a new fan!
...Congrats Man !!!... I saw the original concept art yesterday and have to say the match is excellent for this figure!!!... I´m very glad you are now in "the dark side of the force" , with this "staction" figure custom in a world of the "50" articulation points figures ... !!!
Yes indeed brother! I think this is actually my third static figure but my first with human musculature and such. I plan on making plenty more too. Thanks.
No surprises here then, I knew we had a winner here as soon as it came through. I don't think the lack of articulation is a problem at all. This came from nothing and is a true masterpiece, besides we all know G-brand can do articulation but only if HE wants too.
Thanks very much for the support everyone. This figure is based off of the concept by Jeffrey Thomas (the same guy that designed the feudal turtles). I made it as a static figure b/c I wanted to keep it true to the original art work. It was also a challenge to myself to build a figure from scratch with this level of detail. I'm glad you guys liked it (except for the lack of articulation ) and we'll see what's next.
I like the statue types and it is a figure in an action pose...so it is an action figure! I love this and for you to sculpt it from scratch shows your true skill levels are beyond the league of mere parts swapping and paint apps. Great job G Brand!

Like this take on Lion-O! An Afro-Samurai/Alex from Madagascar hybrid?! I kid ofcourse.. I would have gone with sideburns instead of a goatee.. Anyhoo, nice work!
This looks very good, seriously his claw and face and flesh are superb...my only problem with it is it can't move, I wish it had articulation that would have topped it off, it's like a statue...but it looks great!
This is the best Lion-o because the concept it's very original, I never saw this before, this is amazing and excellent, looks factory made, congrats, kudos.

Anyway, reimaging Lion-O as a Japanese swordsman is a pretty neat and creative idea; good job!
