“Do you want to know why I use a knife? Guns are too quick. You can't savor all the... little emotions. In... you see, in their last moments, people show you who they really are. So in a way, I know your friends better than you ever did. Would you like to know which of them were cowards?” I often wondered what it would be like if Neca/McFarlane made The Dark Knight figures instead of the undersized Movie Masters line that Mattel gave us. Since most of my collection is from Neca/McFarlane/DC Direct and The Dark Knight is one of my favorite films, I had to make a custom of what I consider to be the best movie villain since Hannibal Lecter in a similar scale. After two failed attempts (the first plain sucks, while the second needs some revisions), I’m finally satisfied enough with what I’ve done to show the folks of figurerealm =D. I’m just a beginner, so please be kind. Joker murdered the following to get their body parts: Head and Hair: Neca Edward Cullen with the face and hair sanded/cut off. I only used the joint and sculpted over it. (For those who will ask why I have a Twilight figure, well, I bought it specifically for this =D.)This alone took a bulk of the production time. Torso/Vest: Neca Edward Cullen. Same as the head, I only took the joint and sculpted over the whole thing. Upper Arms: Neca Jonah Hex. Destroyed a Neca Quentin Turnbull upper arms so I had to murder another figure to get the joints. Like the head and torso, this is also sculpted over. Lower Arms: Neca Quentin Turnbull, sculpted same as the above. Legs: Neca Patrick Bateman. Just repainted this but I have to say painting the pinstripes is a real pain. Overcoat: Cut up and reassembled a broken Mezco Hellboy coat to the shape I want and sculpted over it to get the small details. After experimenting with the ratio of Procreate, I managed to make it semi-flexible. I actually regretted destroying the figure though. I think I could have used another (cheaper) material to use. Coat: Repainted Edward’s. Shoes: Repainted and sculpted over Edward's. Gun: Bought a cheap soldier figure, took his gun and sculpted over it. Knife: McFarlane Sin City Marv ![]() |

And thanks for the feedback on my Joker.
This is incredible!!!! Great job!
Congrats Dude
And yes, Edward suffered. I made sure he did. And I'll make more Edwards suffer, I love that base figure.
No miniature sculpting background here, just pure obsession. I did maybe a dozen revisions to Joker's head. Sculpting/Shaving off/Starting over until I felt satisfied with the outcome.
The head sculpt is mind blowing! Specially coming from a beginner. Its okay that you have sacrificed figures and failed in your first attempts, the outcome payed off big time. Will be looking forward on you future works. Awesome job!
