"...From under a mop of unruly black hair smoldered a pair of dangerous blue eyes. A long sword hung in a leather scabbard at his girdle." - Robert E. Howard , The God in the Bowl Batista has always been the perfect Conan for me. He's the bronzed skin giant that fits Robert E. Howard's description in his books. wat did u use for the kilt ?
forum. I'll post some pics as well
edit: woops I didn't answer your question. for years I've been using a technique that's the opposite of dry brushing. I'm not sure if there's a name for it but I think artists call it wet-on-wet. after applying the base coat, I paint the figure by sections. I blend lighter colors on top of darker colors while the paint is still wet, to make the highlights subtle. I still want to feature my sculpting skills so I wouldn't want to cover it up by making it look like I painted over canvass
This figure for one! Sweet custom, masterpiece.
VERY FINE WORK. I can really See Batista as Conan!
OUTSTANDING!!
