Here's my custom Arkham City diorama built specifically for the DC Direct Arkham City figure line.
Anyone who has played the game may see that it's based on the entrance to Arkham City, although not completely to scale due to size restrictions! The large screen is also interchangeable so I can place any appropriate picture in there.

Took about 2 weeks to make using extra-strong cardboard for the majority of the diorama.

Your a genius man I love the use of the red arrow figure base in the corner! Is that the base? And man how did you make the speaker phones and huge gate and what did you use for the paper bricks and what cardboard ?

So did you have to cut the glasses off the MM figure or are they just removable? and if so what do you have to do to make them accuarate to the in game model? The reason I ask is because I really want to have a good set of glasses for my Riddler figure.

Yeah I had to cut them off, they are glued to the MM Gordon figure's head at the sides. Also, the 'arms' of the glasses weren't long enough to fit Riddler, so I cut them off and added longer ones from random plastic I had. Then I just used black paint for the rims and arms, then a purple felt marker to colour in the lenses.

I love the new additions to the diaorma but there's one thing thats bugging me. How did you make the glasses on your Riddler figure?

Thanks!!! The cost of the materials was about £20 ($30-ish) plus if you factor in the cost of all the ink used for printing about another £20, so roughly £40 ($60-ish) in total!

Wow - thanks for all the awesome comments everyone!! So great to see all the appreciation for my diorama. If I had the space I would love to build another section of the city, but no room for that at all unfortunately!

I see it was also built specifically for this shelf… That's great! So are those printed textures n such?

Sunday, March 11, 2012
Yeah, that's right, designed specifically to fit into that corner - took a fair bit of planning! Yeah, the textures were all photographed from the game, altered a little in photoshop and then printed out.
