Hello everyone, I'm a new user here on the Realm. My girlfriend and I got into customizing figures on the weekends a couple of months ago and we've cranked out a few each since then. We check the Realm often, to admire new customs, get new ideas, and read up on techniques in the tutorials. Since we both make customs, we decided to make an account together, so from henceforth I'll start all descriptions with which of us made it. However, with the upload limit, it'll take a few days to get everything as of current uploaded. Now, enough introduction and let's get onto the show!
This figure was made by myself, and while it's not exactly my first, it was in the first couple I made, and the first I'm actually proud of. I took an Iron Man that had heavy armor on, including forearm miniguns and huge shoulder pads, and made a War Machine. I cut off the shoulder pieces, eventually turning one on its side to make a missile launcher. The shoulder cannon is what I'm especially proud of. I created it out of a mechanical pencil. I cut down a length of the tube, both inside and out, and made the eraser end flush with the shoulder. A good coat of paint and it looked nice. This was my first, and to date only, attempt at drybrushing, which I used to try to give him a slightly battle-damaged look. I hope everyone enjoys it, cause I know I enjoyed making it and we've already made this a permanent hobby!

Please wait...
Chaos, thank you. I think it came out nicely, especially for the scale. The drybrushing was difficult, I often left too much paint on the bristles so I had to clean off the section I screwed up to proceed, but ultimately I think it achieved the desired effect.
