Fantomex (Marvel Universe) Custom Action Figure
Custom #:37643
Name:Fantomex
Custom Type:Action Figure
Toy Series:Marvel Universe
Creator:Underground Customs
Date Added:March 16, 2012
Base Figure:MU 2-pack Bullseye
Height:3.75 inches
Completion Time:12.00 hours
I sculpted the straps on his legs, boots, and gloves from 2-part epoxy, as well as the ridges on his mask, and the 'x' on his belt. The guns are from two different Steve Rogers figures. The belt is from an MU Union Jack. I can't remember where the jacket came from as its been reincarnated through atleast two customs already. The paint job was by far the worst part, and I'm glad its finished. The zig zag stripes make this a difficulkt custom to paint, but I'm happy with the result, and Fantomex is a great addition to my collection.

How did you do this?? I know when I work in 3 3/4 scale the sculpt always has a tendency to fall right off the fig. And wow, you painted all those tiny lines on the figure? Amazing sir. Amazing.

Thanks so much for the encouraging feedback. I use 'Green Stuff' 2 part epoxy, as I find it easier to work with than the sculpy or white 2-part epoxy. I also have trouble getting it to stick if I work it too long, and it becomes too rigid. Also, the temperature of the room seems to affect it. If its not sticky and plyable enough, you could try raising the working temp. by adjusting the thermostat. Sometimes I also adjust the 1:1 ratio a little, and use just a tiny bit more yellow than blue which makes the mixture softer. The last technique is something that you might have to play with a little to get it right. Hope that helps.
