Here we have the follow-up to my original Rick Taylor figure. This version of Rick sports the "Red Skull" mask which is a downloadable mask available for the Splatterhouse game on Xbox 360 and PS3. I like this mask because it is a throwback to the red mask that Rick wears in the North American version of Splatterhouse on the Turbo-Grafx released back in 1990. (The Japanese version of the game maintained Rick's white hockey mask, but legal reasons kept it out of the U.S. release.)

The mask itself is an amalgamation of a skull and a hockey mask, with sunken eyes and an eerie red paint-scheme. It looks fantastic on Rick in the game (especially in the arenas) and its portrayal is reminiscent of the original mini-comic which accompanied the Turbo-Grafx version of the game. Although there are many cool masks in Splatterhouse, both unlockable and DLC, this is my favorite. So to pay tribute to mask that takes me back to my Turbo days I created this custom.

Rick began as a Twist 'N Slam movie Hulk.
I re-sculpted parts of his shoulders, and cut-off jeans, and of course, the mask.
He was completely repainted using Montana gold acrylic spray paint and Tamiya acrylics.
The wallet-chain was taken from the Castlevania Dracula (Neca) Peeping Eye accessory.

A buff and bloody Rick is now ready to take on legions of mutants, zombies, and demons in order to rescue his high-school sweetheart. I really like this version of Rick, and I hope you do as well!
