So I set out to make a posable and cool looking Bush Master and I am really happy with the result. I started off with a Bullseye torso and arms. Used a Silver Surfer head. The snake body was actually one of my sons one dollar snake toys I bought at our local dollar store. I basically cut the snake head off of the body. Then cut the snake open all the way down. Took a wire coat hanger and some epoxy to glue it to the inside of the snake body. Sealed up the body with more epoxy. Secured the torso to the snake with epoxy then some sculpting around it to make it blend together. Painting the body and head were easy to do but when it came to painting the snake body it was very time consuming, I literally painted detail arouond each scale which you can see in the picture from behind. I also had to use a flat sealer many times on the body of the snake because it was a rubber material the paint would flake off alot, but the 3 coats of sealer seemed to take care of that. So the end result I think is a pretty cool and very posable Bush Master. He can stand from 6 inches all the way up to 10,11 inches. Hope you all like him and I appreciate and comments or advice. Thanks for looking.
Thanks for describing how you created the snake body. I've got a project witha snake body and have been searching everywhere for a posable one. Excellent work on this and the paints look great!
Had to give this 5 just because it was the best use I've ever seen for that ML Silver Surfer noggin'! The rest of your hard work really paid off too! I love the snake body and how it can bend however you want. Great job! I've always wanted to make one of these but never did get around to it. I have all the parts. I think I was leaning towards using a McFarlane figure. I don't know what it's name was...it had a snake body
