For many centuries the Belmonts have faced the immortal Prince of Darkness, Dracula, and sent him back to the abyss from which he emerges successfully. From generation to generation this legacy held true until a new family was recruited to keep the whip of the vampire slayers safe and, if need be, enter the fight against the undying creatures of the night.

It was in the year 1897 that the Morris family took up the fight against Dracula and, in doing so, sealed the evil Count's powers away once again.... but at the cost of Quincey Morris' life. Shortly after his father's death, John Morris becomes the new keeper of the whip, and prepares himself for the battles that have yet to come. This is when the game "Castlevania: Bloodlines" takes place, and a more spectacular game you will not find on the Sega Genesis. The game takes the tried and true Castlevania lore and mashes it together with Bram Stoker's brilliant novel to create an awesome adventure dripping with gothic flair. This game inspired me to create this 1:6 scale version of the lead protagonist, John Morris.

*I used a TrueType 1/6 muscle body for John.
*The clothing is pieced together from many other 1/6 scale figures.
*I sculpted the 'Book of Vampyre Lore,' the oak stakes, and the wooden crucifix out of sculpey III.
*John's face and the custom accessories are painted with Tamiya Acrylic paints.
*The suspenders, headband, and wristbands are all customs made of thin pleather-like material.

All together John Morris turned out pretty good. I tried to capture the timeline from which John comes. His 19th century attire is inspired by other literary Vampire hunters as well as the video game itself. He is a character that I have always liked in the Castlevania universe, and the game really is fantastic, I would recommend it to any Castlevania fan. After completing the game it states, "The resurrection of Dracula has been averted. However, the blood of the vampire hunters still courses through his veins!" It seems that this battle was just the beginning of John's long history of vampire hunting.....

I hope you enjoy him as much as I do. Thanks for looking!

Thanks guys! I am a huge Castlevania nut. I have many other customs planned, some in the 1:6 scale, others in a more traditional 6 inch scale. I appreciate your kind words, especially coming from a fellow Castlevania fan!

This is a great idea, while I'm not a big fan of 12" scale. I am a Castlevania fan and from the work you put into this amazing custom I guess you are too. It would be a great to see more cool castlevania customs like this in the future.
