I put this vinyl Hulk model/statue together a few years ago(May 6, 2010) and it's went through about 3 repaints. I finally got it where I am satisfied with it. I'm not that crazy about the body style beause I like big Sal Buscema type Hulks, but there's something about this one that is more natural and human-like(more like Frankenstein in the face) that appeals to me. I think it would also work great as a first apperance Hulk in gray. I made the desert base myself out of putty, glue, sand and some pebbles, since this model didn't come with a stand. I pay homage to a big Hulk fan here, ole jade jaw, with his name in the title. G2G4LIFE! Please wait... |

ole jade jaw - haha! I never knew man! what was that first Hulk you saw??? That's "incredible" and a true honor to have inspired someone to start creating! Especially your talent! Tell your wife that I said I'm sorry about the messes and all the $$$ spent on paint, fodder, tools and figures at your house! Mine is the same if not worse
G Brand - I love vinyl models!
Shinigami - thank you
Banner/HULK Inc. - this thing can be painted in so many ways, it's unreal!
Stevid - appreciate it SD!
CAb00se - thank you CA!
Stitches - Well, I hope one day to be able to be pro at this and do it for a living instead of a hobby, but it's hard when you don't really know anything and are self taught and have no formal art training or even art classes
NeCrollector - Yeah, he would've made a good mid-transformation Hulk. He looks more human like-size to me, instead of massive Hulk sized
JeddTheJedi - I keep trying to evolove my painting style, but I know I will never shy away from my heavy shading and dirty style. As far as painting goes...I always prime the figure, basecoat it with the main colors, then the shading colors, followed by a good sealer. Some customizers skip the last 2 steps...I never do.
Excellent eye-candy, freddie.
