Someone asked to see some of my custom action figure work in the popular in the 1970s mego World's Greatest Super Heroes! format, so here's my personal favorite creation in that category... The Incredible Hulk, as he was portrayed by Lou Ferrigno in the CBS television series.

The head and hands are sculpted from scratch by me, and you're looking at resin copies of them that I painted. Much of the rest of the figure is a heavily modified mego "type 2" action figure body, known as such because it was the second type of body used for those types of figures. The shirt and pants originally came with a Waltons or Dukes of Hazard figure probably. I forget which. I'll try to find some of the older work and photos and post it whenever I have a chance.

I got to love this! I grew up on the show, and my first toy I remember is my mego Hulk.
Paints are solid, but the sculpt work makes this custom happen! Great job!

Thanks man. Same here. I was joined at the hip to the mego World's Greatest Super Heroes Hulk when I was little. In more recent years I really began to wonder why mego never did an official WGSH television Hulk, Banner and McGee like they did so many other three group assortments like Chips, Dukes etc. Probably because the Hulk products they had already designed were moving like gangbusters, who knows. In any case yeah this was a labor of love for me for many years until I got a mix of the new modern sophistication and mego aesthetic that I was satified enough with.
