I made this for fellow Realmer Galactapa. It's my second version of Absorbing man but definitely not my last. This is one of the most visually striking characters in the entire Marvel Universe, it's like having rex mason in prison clothes! I made him from two random wrestling figures spliced, kingpin feet, and 10 wrestling arms with a bunch of fodder. I sculpted his belt buckle, chest hair, brick wall, neck, and parts of his face, legs, and all his arms. Then I painted him up, everything is done bye hand except for the transitions between colors. I hope you enjoy, if you would like to see more pictures of him there will be some up $oon in my WIP thread on the forums. There was no way for me to picture all ten arms with a three picture limit.

I'm all about more Absorbing Man customs, shock! I thought the same thing about the neck at first I'll admit, but then with this character there are so many variations and options that the sky truly is the limit. I mean, he turns into *Helium* in Journey into Mystery #115... it's funny how the early books accurately outlined his powers and then they went back and retconned the retcon to effectively define them with the original limitless gusto in the Heroic Age. I guess they thought the character too powerful during the bronze and modern age books. TEN arms>?!>! You should side-by-side them and upload a photo. Great work! *edit* Just saw your WIP thread with the limb pics, AWESOME!

First, let me say great work on this guy,I think the neck is long....maybe put some clay around his trap area,or trim down the neck alittle....other then that love the paints on him.

Looks great Pock! Is that a Quasar arm? Thought about making one of those. The parts can be a lot of work I know and photographing is a pain.

Honestly, I'm not sure what that orange arm is, I saw it in a lot of the comic art from a specific run, I think it's a radioactive arm.

I will probably be making some more arms for him so you might see a Quasar arm coming up s00n , I'd also like to give him an electrical arm and a lava arm I saw on the net. Any others I'll leave as surprises I'd like to make some more fun one's like that chainsaw arm

you should give him a try with a frankenstein body, thats what toy biz used with a differant head. looks cool

Personally I think the Frankenstein body is to short for absorbing man, I like mine to tower above normal sized heroes. I'd like to use a DCUC Despero base for my next go around of absorbing man.
