Here we go! I really wanted an Oracle. Problem is, DC Direct's costs a ton and isn't that nice of a figure. It is more of a 'girl in wheelchair' toy, rather a reflection of the teched-out hacker girl that Oracle is/was. I wanted something more dramatic. I started with a Professor X Wheelchair. Problem is, it looks like a toilet with wheels. I chopped and cut and broke the wheelchair down, then reassembled it like a more traditional wheelchair. The small wheels are now up front, etc. I used cut up gift cards to create new panels and parts on the chair, like the monitors, laptop, feet rests, lower base, seats, etc. It's a true Frankenstein's creation and took way more time to make than the figure herself. The figure is mostly a Buffy Faith figure. Problem is, that figure is gangly and the articulation ruins it. I used the arms from an older Faith figure. I also cut the legs up and glued them in place, before sculpting over the joints(she doesn't need leg articulation). The head is from Poison Ivy, with Faith's hair plug. The scarf is sculpted I created custom screens for her computers and such. They're slide-labels. I wish I could post hi-res images of them... Check out my other customs for her huge Bat-Computer workstation =) ![]() |
