Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, Realmers of all ages, genders, and nations, welcome one an all to my very own contest, the "Link's Custom Inventory Guessing Game!"

You've probably seen my recent "Legend of Zelda" Link custom action figure. Well, pictured here are a whopping 35 accessories that I created for the toy. THIRTY-FIVE ITEMS!! Can you IMAGINE the time I put into building 35 weapons, tools, and other assorted trinkets and treasures for my little Hylian Hero? So much time and effort and love went into the project that I wanted to make a separate post exclusively for the inventory. And even better, I decided to make a little contest about it! Thus, Link's Inventory Guessing Game was born! This contest ran from October 25, 2012 to November 1, 2012.

The rules were pretty simple; pictured below are 35 items that appear in the Legend of Zelda series. With a single, VERY obscure exception, EVERY GAME is represented . . . at least one item from almost every Zelda game EVERY PRODUCED is included in this inventory (no, remakes and Tingle spinoffs don't count). The participants' job was to tell me just what each item is, and what game it came from. 35 items, and 35 games, for a total of 70 points. Sadly, there weren't a lot of entries, only five people submitted a list (guess there aren't as many Zelda fans around here as I thought . . . or this contest was WAY harder than I thought), but I want to thank everyone who played, and congratulate the winner . . . Bad_Guy_Robot, who scored a staggering 69 out of 70!! He will be receiving a full-size, functional, ceramic ocarina, customized by myself to look like the legendary Ocarina of Time!

Told you guys there was an awesome prize for this contest. Now don't you wish you'd entered?

Well, I'm not going to post them just yet. Because some people may still want to take a guess. Feel free to post your own answers, and if you get them all right, maybe I'll send you your own little consolation prize!

Today I wore my Hylian Crest shirt to school and someone asked me: "Hey, what game is that shirt from? Skyrim?" Yes this just proves the world as we know it is comming to a close...

Well, you're welcome to give it a go, but unfortunately, official entries ended on November 1, I just haven't had a chance to update yet. But if you want to post a list for fun, I'd love to see it. I didn't get much of a turn out for the contest (only five entries

), so if you do well, you might get a consolation prize, as I'm considering giving one to all participants. Not as great as the grand prize, but a nice little token to thank those that put in the effort.

I dunno, it's been like pulling lions' teeth getting people to agree or RSVP for this thing. For what it's worth, you don't HAVE to be an expert on Zelda to get these answers. Heck, even I haven't played half the games, I simply did research on the sites I mentioned above, Zeldapedia and Zelda Wiki. All my info and reference pics came from there, so all anyone has to do is spend a little time looking over the wikis, and they'll find the answers. But no one seems to want to invest the time. Shame too, the prize is gonna be awesome!

The sad thing is the bulk of my guesses didn't even involve looking up the images...a lot of them (90% at least), came from pure recollection...mainly due to the fact I have plotted many...many stories in the Zelda U (plotted mind you, not written), and tried to pull info from every game...

Hey, nothing sad about being a fan! Heck, I don't even hold that dim a view of fanfic, so long as it's A) intelligently written, B) not slash, C) not about self-insertion into a universe, and D) not entirely contrary to the actual spirit of the original works (like nonsense crossovers and total genre shifts and retcons). Honestly, some fanfic can be better that many licensed official works . . . and sometimes, better than the creator's own work (I'm looking at YOU, Lucas!!).

Amen on the fanfic view...for every well written piece out there, there are at least 120 poorly, Mary-Sue ridden, out of context dreg fictions. Of course as an English Major...I become a little too overwhelmed by it...

Well, you've convinced me lol. With the help of my girlfriend (whose and even better LoZ fan than I am), and a few hours work of research/paying close attention to detail, I think we've got them all. I'll be sending my answers in via PM in a few.
