Buffalo Soldier: a member of the U.S. 10th Cavalry Regiment of the United States Army.
Used a Turnbull-Jonah Hex movie figure for the base. Made a headcast of Rajon Rondo Mcfarlane figure and attached it to the body. Sculpted the rest of the costume. The pistol is from Turnbull. The rifle was made from balsa wood, sanded to shape. Attached a stirring straw to it and sculpted on the hardware. Then made a resin cast of the whole thing to make it one solid piece.
Man! I pegged this as the winner from the moment I saw it! This figure, as simple as it seems (there's no obvious crazy sculpting, wild paint apps, massive Frankensteining etc.) is the finest example of flawless customizing I've ever seen. I may not be a rock star customizer myself but, as a former chef, I can tell you that, what may look simple is the best way to judge a person's skill at their craft. The 1st thing we'd do with a new cook in the kitchen was have him make scrambled eggs. If he/she could do that well, we knew they could be trusted with more complex and skill intensive recipes. Congrats on a well deserved victory!
Thanks for the support everyone. I was really impressed with all of the entries. I love the fact that no one really went with any "famous" western characters.

A most well deserved win, brother. The rifle alone is perfect! The entire figure is flawless! 5 Stars all the way!
