A custom figure of Predator fan character, Zaf'el the human/Yautja hybrid. This figure was made in collaboration with Maxwell J. Barmer II as he made the base work for it by priming the body and adding the Berserker Predator feet and wrist gauntlets. He also supplied me with the body and head sculpt. She was made from a Legendary Comic Book Heroes Ann O'Brien (body), her head was fashioned from a Marvel Legends X-23 head. The Yautjan features of the came from several NECA Predators including the Berserker (dreadlocks, chest armor, plasmacaster and feet), Elder (armor straps), Jungle Hunter (necklace) and Big Red (both gauntlets and wrist blades). Her bio mask is removable and came from the Kenner Ambush Predator, the fauld from a McFarlane Spawn Tiffany figure and the sword and sheath from a SoulCalibur III Mitsurugi figure. Some features such as her mandibles were sculpted from Aves Studio Apoxie Sculpt. The base was from a McFarlane Scar Predator and has been decorated with skulls from the NECA Predator Trophy Pack and bones from Halloween decorations. Painted using Citadel Paints.

Zaf’el is the hybrid daughter of S'loss and Kelly Matthews. She was raised and trained by her father after her mother was murdered by Bad Bloods. She is a capable huntress, but dislikes killing other sentient beings. Zaf’el was often ridiculed by her clan mates as an abomination, but she did have some family and friends who saw her potential. Despite them defending her, she eventually left the clan and eventually met with her human uncle, Steven Matthews. Together they managed to destroy a Killer Clan ship transporting a parasite that was even more dangerous than the Xenomorphs to Yautja Prime. Steven was mortally wounded. Before his death, he gave Zaf'el some final words of encouragement and his dog tags. Zaf'el managed to escape, but her escape pod was caught in the explosion of the Killers' ship. She survived the explosion and found herself on Hiveworld where she would meet unlikely allies in the form of the altered Xenomorphs that inhabited it. One of of these Xenomorphs in particular would change her life forever.
