Greetings turtle fans. I love the new turtle line like many of you, however, I have grown very partial to the 3.75inch figures and was more than a little disappointed that they have never made a turtle line that is 3.75inch. I have decided to settle on making 4 inch line for my turtle craze. I basically bought 3 more mikey figs since he fit the size proportions that I was looking for and moved my turtle heads form leo and the others onto mikey bodies and did new paint jobs and will post them at a later time. Now they needed an awesome shredder to face. I had an extra mu mister sinister handy and i didnt like the new shredder from the newline up because he wasnt very moveable. his head however looks good on my sinster body but he needed his spike gear. I took off the wrist spikes from the new shredder and mounted them onto my sinister body. he still needed more spikes. I had an original shredder from the very first turtle line that donated his shoulder and leg spikes. Some glue and some paint later and walla. the cape came from a last action hero ripper villan. hope you guys like the look. I made some foot clan ninjas out of the red power ranger samuri figures that also made the photos. I will have to post them at a later time.
Excellent work. Great combination of parts to creat one formidable villain. Not sure if it's the lighting or the camera but in the 1st 2 pics it looked like shredder was turquoise. It looked more metallic in the final pic though. Did you give the armor pieces any kind of metallic paint or were they more of a matte gray?
You might try using brighter soft lighting as opposed to camera flash as it does tend to distort certain aspects of a picture at times. You can build a rudimentary light box out of poster-board and use a desk lamp or two to take near professional quality pics.
