Wolverine (HML) (Marvel Legends) Custom Action Figure
Custom #:46313
Name:Wolverine (HML)
Custom Type:Action Figure
Toy Series:Marvel Legends
Creator:raybot
Date Added:January 21, 2013
Base Figure:X-Force Wolverine
Height:6.00 inches
Repainted an X-Force Wolverine into his regular suit colors. Not much to say other than that, but I did replace the claws with some nice metal ones that I shaped and edged myself. Ended up looking pretty nice, and I love the overall sculpt on this Wolverine.

Please tell me those claws have a sharpened edge! That would just be awesome.

This custom turned out really really great. The yellow looks so good, I hope to one day master painting yellow. The stubble and arm hair, also, looks nicely done.

As usual an outstanding job! How did you get the X-Force Wolverine? I thought the Hit Monkey wave doesn't come out until Spring.

Insanely, somebody sent me one from an X-force boxed set!

Though I do wanna do one for my own collection just like this sometime.

Amazing wolverine! was wondering what kind of paints you use and how you get them to look matte

I pretty much just use Games Workshop Citadel brand paints these days. They're pretty matte when they're dry already, but a liberal amount of Testor's Dullcoat always does the trick.

this is great and ten times better than the bases original paintjob. I can't wait to get my case of these in so I can try one of these. and those claws are perfection.

Yea, I was pretty jazzed to get one of the boxed set ones sent to me. Wanna get some extras of these to try some new stuff on sometime. Other than the joint rub it was a great base to work with.

At first glance I thought it was another base, I guess the change of color does make a figure look completely different; but after I actually clicked on the post I realized it was the x-force figure. Pretty neat with those paints. And one more thing that yellow is Top Noch, was it hard to get it solid??

Yellow is the devil! Tough to get solid, but even tougher to shade right.

I used citadel foundation Averland Sunset and that helped to get a good basecoat. Airbrush helps a lot with yellows, but it's still tough to get the lighter yellows done evenly.

WAMMIE!Those claws were curved going in and they'll be curved on the way back out! Officially at the skill level of an ASSASSIN! Coz this custom just got killed! Can I get a standing ovation of profanities? holy get tha outta here, un believable!

Thanks! Claws were definitely the toughest part on this guy. Went through tons of different claws/materials to get the things just right. Getting an even bend and edge on them took awhile.

Yea, sure would make something like this a lot easier. Painting this over black certainly did no favors for the joint rub.

Thanks! I wish there was some better trick to doing arm hair. I just paint them all individually, but it takes forever! Same with the stubble, but I'm glad most superheroes look like they wax their arms and legs.
