Sloda is from a planet known as Trana IV in Space Sector 1339. It is a mining planet once governed by a race of dictators called the Brillaari. The Brillaari were not native to Trana IV. They gained control over Trana IV through military force and assumed sole and absolute power over the planet. In doing so they turned Sloda's whole race into slaves and drew the attention of the Red Lantern Corps.

Sloda of Space Sector 1339 became a member of the Red Lantern Corps after Atrocitus liberated him and his race. A task that killed every Brillaari on Trana IV and nearly killed Sloda himself. Sloda took a blow to the head that cracked his skull and would have killed him if not for Atrocitus. Atrocitus held out his hand and in it was a Red Lantern Power Ring. He asked three questions.

"Do you possess hatred for all those who would oppress the innocent?"

"Would you give your last breath to crush tyranny from the stars?"

"Is there rage in your heart?"





Sloda spoke his last word.


"Yes!"


Sloda became one of the newest members of the Red Lantern Corps as his blood expelled from his mouth in a vomit of violent rage. His veins stretched as they filled with the liquid fire of the red light. Sloda is loyal to Atrocitus and only Atrocitus. He has boundless rage and hatred towards the tyrants who enslaved his race and any others like them. He still has the crack in his head from that battle. And though the Brillaari who gave him that crack is dead there are many more out there. And Sloda has an all consuming need for revenge and destruction. It is all he knows.


Alien Physiology: Sloda has two pairs of split mandibles that act as a lower jaw. Both of which are flexible and have rows of teeth. The mandibles are typically used for crushing and eating food. As a Red Lantern, Sloda has been known to use his mandibles to his advantage. Gripping arms, legs, and even heads as he vomits plasma on his victims.


Base Figure: DC Universe Classics Skallox/Nite-Lik
Head: Halo 1 Elite Build-A-Figure head. It was silver so I just mixed up some paint and came up with a color. I used my dremel to drill a hole and with sculpey I managed to get a snug fit I was satisfied with.
Hands: DC Universe Classics Low hands painted to match the head. I actually repainted the claws also even though they were black to begin with.
Painting: I painted the crack in his head red to give the feel of blood. I imagined it bleeding while fighting. I also painted his teeth and jaws red to give the look of battle as well. Inside of his mouth was painted a slightly lighter red also.
