My first in a series of custom playset/dioramas. The Battlesar Galactica's Combat Information Center, commonly refered to as the CIC, is the command hub of the ship. Much like a bridge, this is where the commanding officer deligates and keeps watch over the ship's functions, such as FTL, engineering, communications, air traffic control, etc.
The backdrop was made from foam board that I cut and painted. I made some different pillars, borders, and light fixtures for a little texture, and then printed out some battlestar screens and glued them throughout the walls. I made a cutout for the door, and again printed out a picture of the BSG door prop. I made the DRADIS console from wood and printouts, as well as the command & control table. The tactical plot screen was also printed from the Prop auction site, and then glued onto wood and cut into shape. The helm station was made from wood with small computer screens glued on. To the left is the threshhold leading to the weapons control room. (not a finished room, but has a backdrop). Everything is to scale for the 7" line of BSG figures, and I plan to keep expanding through the ship.

Blain3. This is such fantastic work. I love it when a customizer takes a series and makes it their own. After all we can't work on everything. I can't wait to see how other parts of the ship come out. Are you going to make the Viper Bay? Also, if I might suggest, an Armory or holding cell is always cool.

Thanks for the suggestions. I have a hangarbay, but I'm not completely happy with it- more just a backdrop for my collection than anything. I've got the Colonial One coming today, and then a surprise for one of the contests- but I have been wanting to make the holding cell (have some parts already)- however I wanted to wait until I got another Sharon figure to make a pregnant Athena for it.

It makes my Battlestar Galactica collection look dull and ordinary. Great job. Inspired work.
