I finally broke down & bought the Alex Ross Justice Flash figure. Love the sculpting...not so much on the gaping open joints. So I putty filled them after deciding on the best pose for me. Then did an almost total repaint. The costume was a dull light Red, went with bold glossy Red (as Barry explained in the early comics as a friction resistance). Used Testor's Gold for ear pieces & insignia (left the belt & glove lightning original color).
Then painted acrylic gold on boots. The wings on the boots were almost non-existing, so I glued some bigger ones over the top of the old ones from my Guardian custom (old Flash figure). Also painted eyebrows on figure & used a darker blue for eyes,after re-looking at Ross Justice books. Decided to custom up the stand using kind of a "Flash Gordon" movie movie decore colors as my base(used a smaller stand than what came with it). Any thoughts?
