These are very good suggestions! I'll keep at it! I do use a toothpick but it never seems to help. But I am getting better, slowly.

Very cool work, but eyes can be tricky. I've never had to do them on a 3.75" so I'm sure that makes it even more difficult than the 6"ers I work on. My own technique is to sketch the outline of the eyes with a very needle sharp pencil. You can erase if need be too. Fill that in with white using a quality brush, not some cheap-o one from a pack (I paid ten bucks for just my spotter brush but it gets a lot of use so its worth it) Than go back over your outline with black. You could use a toothpick for this part but that spotter brush will work as well. You could even just practice drawing eyes on paper for a while just to get down the dynamics. Back in my day I was fairly decent at painting eyes.
I would start with a tack, a needle or a toothpick...and 'scratch on' the paint. I would first start with a blob of black as base(later becomes eyelashes) staying inside of the black I would then put on some white. then the next part is up to you...you could put on another blob of black in the centre of the white and then the color of choice on top of that but leaving it inside a bit for a black border, or not put that layer of black on there at all.. Sorry if this is difficult to understand...I am NOT a good teacher. lmao.

Nice work. If I can leave a sugestion,try to "write" only the upper eyelashes,that create the eye. Try it!
