Since it's still SUPERMAN weekend...I wanted to submit ANOTHER Superman figure. Many customizers have used the DCD New Krypton head for Reeve and rightly so because it IS perfect, but this head can be tricky if not painted right. I have always wanted to make what I felt was the perfect Reeve figure, as if Mattel was making it. I didn't want it in the flat 6.0 inch scale either because, in my opinion, Christopher Reeve was larger than life and transcended the role of just being a movie Superman. That being said, this one is made from a DCUC Guardian figure solely because the blue color was spot on and allowed for no paint rub AND he already had a yellow belt! So basically what I did was smooth out the abs and then repainted that area the same blue as the rest of the figure. I also sculpted the symbol, the belt buckle, the belt loops, the collar seam, and the boots. The boots even have the seams and the wrinkles to match what Reeve wore in Superman: The Movie. Finally, the head was painted over the course of a few weeks to get it as close to the true likeness as possible. As for the cape, the one that came with the Man of Steel Movie Masters figure was a perfect fit. I realize it is longer than Reeve's cape, but it's just so majestic so I just HAD to leave it the length it was. The yellow "S" will be added to the back this week before I list it on eBay. I really hope you guys like it. It truly is the figure I have always dreamed of making! Thanks for looking! ![]() |

BRAVO MATT... Your best yet.
Just realized I spelled "Christopher" wrong on two of those photos. Luke autocorrect or something. Figured I'd point it out before someone else does
I may just have to win him on ebay haha
