This kit was taken apart, reshaped and repainted. Originally a Halcyon Alien kit from the movie Alien 3, the body parts have been repositioned and the clear dome removed to show more of the biomechanical detailing beneath. Went with a pale color (as opposed to their usual red or black) as it was more challenging to paint. And besides, in a collection of predominantly black sheep, it's always nice to have a white one( or vice versa). The red version in the foreground was the original model. Both figures were assembled and painted in the late 90's when the kits were released.
The Runner, also known as the Dog Alien, or Scout, is a Xenomorph caste spawned from a quadrupedal host animal such as a dog. Runners, as their name implies, are fast and agile, and like Drones can spit acid from their mouths. Runners have variously been portrayed in the games as being slightly larger or slightly smaller than typical human-spawned Aliens, differences that no doubt derive from the animal that hosted the creature. The mini Alien riding in the 1st pic is the Konami version.
