Winter Soldier - Captain America 2 (Marvel Legends) Custom Action Figure
Custom #:51499
Name:Winter Soldier - Captain America 2
Custom Type:Action Figure
Toy Series:Marvel Legends
Creator:SuperSoldierScarletSpider
Date Added:July 6, 2013
Base Figure:Urban Legends Punisher
Height:6.50 inches
Completion Time:2.00 hours
I took the body of the Punisher, cut off the skull teeth to the belt, sanded down the chest to remove the skull outline, gave it a black coat, added the head that I re-painted off of the Legendary Heroes series Darkness figure, carved out the bionic arm and star (not so great) with a blade, painted that, and then slapped on a bunch of random gear and guns (some i gave a black coat to, some i didn't) with super glue. Topped it off with a clear acrylic sealer gloss.

This is just loosely based off of the current look in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, from what I've seen in set photos on the internet.

This is my first shot at a custom!

Great job. I really like the rifle did you put that together or did you get it from another figure.

Nice work for your first custom! I can't tell from these pictures if the weapons are glued to the figure or not, but in the future for added customization you could use rare earth magnets to attach removable weapons. A step further would be to drill a small hole for the magnet, glue it, and then mold over it so the piece is still seamless. The metal arm might benefit from a dry brushing of silver over a base coat of gunmetal. If it's done properly, it gives the piece a realistic beaten metal look.

Thanks for the tips! Yeah, everything is just glued right on there, aside from the gun in hand, but that magnet idea sounds awesome, I'll surely use that eventually, and that's a cool idea on the arm paint, I think I can sort of visualize what you mean, might just give that a go!
