Well this figure was almost ruined by the Vegas Heat... but then she was magically restored and I'm Happy and very proud of myself by making a bad situation alright again but I like how pretty she turned out. And I'm Happy with how accurate to the cartoon she turned out to be too. She was a wonderful custom already made (by very talented guy) with new costume and face sculpt to match her Filmation look. I got her for my sister's birthday but the next day after she opened her present she told me the arm broke in two different places, the hand was melted and the paint was peeling off and bubbling on her legs? I'm guessing from the heat in my mail box i guess( I live in sunny hot Las Vegas) So I gave my sister another custom Teela to make up for it. But now i didn't have one for my collection=( hoping to fix the one I had to keep I started ... and then ... it was two days later and I was done haha
So when I started my hopeful Project on the Melted and delicate Teela I first had to Fix and glue Her Joint in the arm and the Shoulder and in her hand , And then in my high quality paints and then sealed to ensure it from ever peeling again regardless of weather conditions.
Also I had to use a little Pledge future shine on the joints
(I learned this helps tighten loose joints on figures really well)
because all her joints were super loose especially her head.
Second my favorite part ... i got to do another MOTU Repaint
and she looks more accurate to the cartoon now In my opinion and is now my favorite figure ever. Now with her more brighter more vibrant colors she really POPS!
To get the colors from her skin to her hair I looked at a Film cel to repaint Teela's new details - from the white on her costume; to her cleavage lol; and I gold glitter highlights here and there too to give her that extra umph=)
I'm also waiting in the mail to even further improve her by:
replacing one of her hands with a spell casting hand -I have already made & painted a Snake armor that fits her perfect, and going to get a new sword and shield that looks even better than the ones in the pictures too - so stay tuned!! =)
