I always liked Nightcrawler and by 2001 Marvel Legends was just getting going and I wanted something to go with the couple of MLs I had. I had previously bought the Nightcrawler out of the very nice Giant Size X-Man box set, one of the last Toy Biz Marvel offerings before Marvel Legends. I liked it but it needed more articulation and height, so I kitbashed it with a Spidey Classics Black Spidey. The hands, feet, torso, head, upper arms and tail from Nightcrawler and the lower arms, elbows, legs, hips and abdomen from Spidey. The only sculpting I had to do was the little red part on his crotch. I was happy I could insert the elbows from Spidey into the existing joint from Nightcrawler. Fit perfectly.
I came out of it with a pretty good Kurt that went well with my MLs (up to series 2 at the time) and the handful of X-men toys I had, and I loved the advanced articulation.
