What is a Gotham City Contest without Batman? I Know the description mentioned lots of other characters from Gotham, but I've been wanting to try my hand at Bats for awhile and what better opportunity?

Batman was made using a ROML Drax body, lower legs from a House of M Wolverine, arms from a Mattel WWE Ultimate Warrior because I have never liked the ones on Drax, a DCD Jim Lee Hush Batman head, cape from a Mattel 52 Batman, and interchangeable hands from Iron Man Mark VI!

For the most part all I had to do was part swap for this figure. The Hush Batman head was too small to sit on the Drax ball joint so I used my dremel and widened the the hole in the head. My new favorite head fix is to widen the hole for the ball joint so it sits loose and then I use hot glue to from to the ball joint, which is coated in with olive oil to keep the glue from adhering.

Batman's gauntlets were made using Movie Master TDK spikes, craft lace (greatest thing ever), bits of Mr. Sinister's cape, and to top it off I created interchangeable hands using Iron Man Mark VI hands (open and fist sets).

The Symbol on Batman's chest was not sculpted, but instead I used InstantMold to make a mold of the Mattel 52 Batman's symbol, then filled said mold with Ave's Fix-It sculpt, let it cure, and finally used my dremel to grind it so it would fit on my custom figure.

The utility belt was a mish mash of Drax's belt and the belt from a Faceoff Red Skull, which has the techy pouch look a modern Batman would need.

I painted Batman using testors and tamiya paints. I tried something new on this figure. I base coated the muscles in black, then dry-brushed grey over the rest of the body. This helped to define the muscles and create "shadows" on the figure. I mixed together Tamiya gunmetal and Testors semi-gloss black for the gauntlets, knee pads, and boots. I also brushed on some flat brown around the bottom of the boots for mud stains. Finally, I dry-brushed some silver on the boots an gauntlets to give Batman the look of a hero that's been fighting on the streets.

Now Batman is ready to take on the criminal underbelly of Gotham......super-poseabley!!

Wow. Dude the idea for the batlogo alone stunned me. Brilliant fix. Usually sculpted Batlogos are lopsided, chunky or undefined. This is brilliant! Nice recipe as well.
