Not much is known about the Sinestro Corps member name Hyper sonic. He doesn't even know his real name. He believes that he is from the future. What he know is that he wake up strapped to a chair in a room with people running around screaming and panicking. It look to him as if there was an attack on the building or an explosion.Some one unstrapped him and told him to run to run as fast as he can that he is their legacy.So he ran the more he ran the faster he got then he heard an explosion and saw a bright light.The next thing he remembers was some creature shaking him. Terrified by this strange creature he reached up to stop this creature from touching him that his hands went thru the creature and the creature exploded.Terrified Hypersonic ran to find shelter and try to figure out what is going on.As he was trying to figure out who he was and what is going on he felt a pain in this belly.His stomach felt empty.So he ran across this unknown planet to he came across a village where he smelted something good. Not use to his super speed when he ran thru the village looking for that smell he destroyed most of the village this terrified the villagers this super strong wind come out of nowhere destroying house buildings villagers and animals are flying off.When Hypersonic finally got his belly full he stopped moving then the villagers was finally able to see this strange creature that destroyed almost everything. Terrified of this stranger the villagers made a peace offering. They would feed the stranger if he wouldn't run thru the village. Hypersonic took them up on this deal. Hypersonic kept the villagers in fear when someone bring him something that he didn't like he would put his hands in their chest and they would explode.
When Sinestro got the corps back together a new ring found hypersonic. When Hypersonic arrival Sinestro seen something in Hypersonic eyes and took him under his wings. Sinestro personal trained him for he has seen speeders in action and he could teach him to control that power.After his training was done Sinestro named him Hypersonic.
