I've always liked the sculpt of the Kenner STAS Darkseid from the 90's. I just didn't care for the squatting pose they put him in. The mattel JLU Darkseid was terrible. This is a cast from Stew of the mattel JLU prototype Darkseid figure that was never released. The upper body & head sculpt is the perfect Darkseid IMO. Why mattel didn't release this one instead of the one they produced, is beyond me? Oh right, we are talking about mattel here, the company that pretty much blundered their way through the entire JLU line. Thanx to 37customs & Stew we don't have to worry about that. Since they bought the prototype & cast it. I used the prototype head & torso, the legs & skirt from the JLU Darkseid, & the arms from the JLU Destroyer Darkseid. I still have the prototype arms & legs in case I want to switch them.
