Well, I picked up some molds with latex from the figure-parts I need. The body is a AT-ST-Driver(2007) and the head is from a AT-AT-Commander (from the AT-AT 1997) It needed a lot of time to makeing the molds (paint the latex and let dry, then paint the next skin; and so on) After I had to finshed the molds, I picked up "Fimo", fill it into the molds and baked it. (You must be carefull with the temperatur, cause it can distroy the mold) Had cleaned and trimed the casts, drilled hols for the articulation. (I use Q-Tips only for the Articulation) After all parts were cloud together, and the figure can stand by his own, I start with the paint. I use color from Citadel, Revell and Humbrol. I had problems by painting the eyes. But now I have got a good technic to do this job. My painting is to clean, and havend not the dirty star wars look. It´s more based on the look of the new figures. And most of my customs goes up to the vintage line. Wy I had done this figur? Well, lock at the new AT-ST-Crew from 2012! There are more of them in the film. And that´s the reason, wy I make custom!!! I will have them all!!! All the background-characters..., ...and so, I will be back! Best regards from Germany Kai ![]() |
