This started as a simple graft of wings from medium size medieval armored blue dragon unto a DCU Blue Devil figure , a basic cut and paste , right? , boy I couldn't be more wrong . THEY WOULD NOT GLUE ON !!, there was some sort of chemical reaction between the glue, the figures paint and the wings material (a waxy oily kind of plastic) , I tried sanding and removing some of the paint of the figure , didn't work , then I tried some more sculping on the wings , and still nothing , I was frustrated and was for the first time about to give up! . Two hours later I went for it again with a new approach , thinking on the character's origin (a stuntman cursed by a demon to be magically stuck on his own created devil suit), why not make it seem as a FX prop that he would have made as an evolution of the suit , so I cut and match the wings and glue them together (and waited many hours until they bonded well) , meanwhile I took the figures horns of and exchange them for more detailed ones . Next morning , I put the now long wing piece and strapped on the figure using transparent wire like a harness and (THANK GOD!!) it worked and it looked GREAT! , so here he is , may look simple , but it definitively NOT!! , Enjoy and Thanks! Please wait... |

Those are a nice set of wings man, if you wanted you could also put in a good set of balljoints and it will hold better, and plus they will be articulated
The trick of course is finding the optimum temperature to do the bake with, so you can properly sweat out the mold release agents, while not melting/distorting the figure. But that's what fodder is for, eh?
