I hand-sculpted both the General and his steed from air-dry clay(crayola terracotta) over an armature I assembled from chicken-wire and tinfoil. Many thanks to my friend Robert E. Lee for the beautiful wooden base (which he carved and finished)he gave me to mount them on. Thomas-Alexandre Dumas was one of Napoleon's greatest Generals and the father of the great French writer Alexandre Dumas.  Please wait... |
