Welcom to the fall of Utopia!!! The mutant terrorist Scott Summers aka Cyclops, the avatar of the legendary Phoenix Force has been defeated by none other than his granddaughter "The Mutant Messiah" Hope Summers. This is my 2nd incarnation of this figure, started with bucky cap body, used protector head, custom sculpted torso and head from fodder. Not going to lie, this figure is not done how i wanted it to end up, as im making it exact to the cancelled marvel legends p5cyke. I found out about this contest last night and had to try. So i did the remaining parts that would have had epoxy sculpt on them in foam to give it a flashpoint in the shoulders. I wanted to make it look like the drawings of the fire eminating from the shoulders as he walks. Having Hope hold him in her arms as Scott had years before when the Phoenix claimed Jean. Then i wanted to show the AvX Consequences 1 cover, where hes lying in rubble beaten and broken. hope this meets deadline and ill apprieciate you commments.
Wow!!! Thanks for the comments, honestly I saw that there was a contest and that I had a half finished figure I may be able to enter. When p5 cyke was cancelled I was very disappointed, so figured id make it. I got the deviant art prototype pics and started, but im lazy, so the I saw my zippo fluid with a figure I wanted to enter that just so happened to be on fire. It was very fun to set fire while I tried to get pics. The figure I still in same form as it was im first place, nothing a little paint and scut can't fix. My goal is making the exact ml figure molding it then selling it for a resonable price, for people who wanted it in first place. Hasboro isnt getting the job done, but its 2014, we have 3d printers and skills. I urge the highly skilled customizers to do the same. We are all collectors and there is no need to scalp figures, making money is great but 150 for an xforce box set of 3 is rediculous. Thanks again Kj

He's a decent enough custom, but I think a figure of the actual Phoenix entity, rather than its' host, would have been a more appropriate, and interesting, submission for this challenge. It's true that the phoenix is a mythological creature (although the Marvel Comics interpretation is more of a cosmic force that's pretty far removed from the legendary Greek bird that it's loosely based upon) and Cyclops derives his moniker from the one-eyed Greek giants of the same name, but, even so, I'm having a tough time accepting this figure as a mythological character in the same sense that Marvel's Thor, Sif, and Loki are.
WAIT! DID YOU ACTUALLY BURNED THE FIGURED!! , isn't that a bit too extreme , don't get me wrong , I totally understood your concept idea and it's really cool and all , but I don't know , maybe it's my collectors side , THAT REALLY HURT TO WATCH , it looked like a really good custom piece , oh well , let hope that like the Phoenix he rises again , a ver original and interesting piece!!
